Nothing Meger about Carson's talent
(Friday, July 3, 2009 3:46 PM CDT)
Former Plano Senior quarterback Carson Meger is no stranger to proving critics wrong. In fact, the Wildcat, who graduated last month, has made a whole career out of it.

Meger beat out teammate and friend Michael Sheffield for the starting job in 2007 against all odds. That’s because the undersized quarterback tore his left ACL twice within a one-year span to start his high school career. However, Meger not only won the starting job, but he has excelled in the Wildcat offense ever since.

Shooting over the shoulder at legends
(Friday, July 3, 2009 11:22 AM CDT)
“Public Enemies” can only loosely be categorized as a biopic. It is about John Dillinger, major events presented did happen, but director Michael Mann isn’t interested in rehashing history. Unless it’s about how a BAR shell sounds when it hits dirt. “Public Enemies” is out to shoot holes in the myth of Dillinger, literally, with a heavy dose of realism and some of the most exquisite gunfights ever filmed.
